About the Job
Windwave is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and project-based accounting activities within a growing construction and telecommunications company. This role works closely with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate financial records, support month-end close processes, and maintain strong job costing and reporting practices.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and supporting schedules.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related processes as needed.
- Assist with job costing and project-related financial tracking.
- Maintain organized accounting documentation and records.
- Support audit preparation and financial reporting activities.
- Assist with process improvements and financial accuracy initiatives.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 1–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred:
- Construction, telecommunications, or project-based accounting experience.
- Exposure to job costing or WIP reporting.
Work Environment:
Professional, structured environment with direct exposure to operations, job costing, and project-based accounting. This role works closely with finance, operations, and project teams in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
