Lead the Crew. Own the Work.
Windwave is looking for an experienced Construction Foreman to lead field crews on telecommunications and infrastructure construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily work, keeping crews productive and safe, and ensuring work is completed according to project plans and quality standards.
The right candidate is an experienced equipment operator and field leader who can organize a jobsite, communicate clearly with their crew and Project Manager, and solve problems as they arise.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise construction crews of 5+ employees, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project standards.
- Plan daily field activities and coordinate with the Project Manager on schedules, priorities, materials, and equipment.
- Direct trenching, conduit placement, material movement, cable pulling, installation, and other construction activities.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, and other approved heavy equipment.
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Lead daily safety discussions and enforce jobsite safety requirements.
- Identify field issues, delays, or equipment needs and work with the Project Manager to resolve them quickly.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, equipment needs, and jobsite incidents.
- Maintain an organized, productive, and professional jobsite.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience leading a construction crew of 5 or more employees.
- 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, jobsite safety, and field operations.
- Experience operating excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, and other construction equipment.
- Ability to read project requirements, plan daily work, and give clear direction to crews.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Telecommunications, fiber, utility, or underground construction experience is preferred.
Must pass drug screen and background check.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on field leadership position performed primarily on active construction sites. The role requires outdoor work in varied weather conditions, regular lifting of up to 50 pounds, and the ability to operate equipment and perform physical construction activities as needed.
Project schedules may require 10–12 hour days, flexible hours, and occasional weekend work.
